0:29-0:30 | A pitbull bites at the screen behind a wire fence, slobber flying everywhere. Armin taunts it by bring his hand close and pulling it away from the bite, then kicks at the fence causing the mutt to scurry away. |
0:31 | Rivialing hoodlums are seen fighting causing a ruckus in the street with police officers driving towards them in the distance. Some of the group turn and alert the others. |
0:32-0:34 | They are seen running down an alleyway like cockroaches scattering from the light. One of the ruffians is tackled hard by an officer. This is Albert. |
0:34-0:37 | Paying his bond, Armin shamefully shakes his head as his best friend is released from prison, sulking. They do their special handshake they have done since childhood, where they grab each others wrists like a Roman. |
0:37-0:38 | A torture scene where two victims are tied back to back sitting in chairs, one awake the other unconscious. Armin is shifting foot to foot, slowly dancing with his butterfly knife. Then, like a cobra, he lashes out and leaves a slash across the face torturee. Jackie Hiroyuki is seen in the foreground. |
0:38-0:42 | In a stolen generic car wearing casuals, Armin rides shotgun with the other four protagonists. He leans out of the window with a shotgun and shoots hellfire, sending a capo of the Sindacco Family flying through a barbershop window. Albert Meursault's Trailer[]
The trailer which introduced the third of four protagonists was released on August 30th, 2013. The trailer style, excluding the rating screen and title screen, is shown entirely in La Nouvelle Vague, used as homage to French Neo-noir. The theme that is playing as the backing track is "day 1" by mura masa, selected for the ambient rainfall effects, chill tone, and vibe that encaptures Albert Meursault's personality.
