1. Main rules of Sorting
Well I'm not admin so you don't have to follow this, but these tips will help you when you want to arrange your categories clearly.
- [MOST IMPORTANT] Put your project name on your works with parentheses (unless titles are different with official GTA series and other members' works). This is NECESSARY to clarify them as fan fictions, if you're 'borrowing' original settings from official GTA series but making them different. Also this is most important so we can avoid blasphemies against canon(official GTA series) and confusions among other members' works having same name. Lastly, here is Fanon Wiki of course, not GTA Fandom nor your own wiki.
However, this doesn't applied at global concepts like United States of America. - Use biggest ONE category which can include your articles related with. It's much clearer than spamming common categories in everwhere.
2-1. Sorting the 'geographical' locations
Very first and most important thing is putting your project name at the front of your categories, as explained above. That's why I'm repeating because this is most important thing.
After that, check the type of your locations first then putting them into related categories. It'll be better to consider how to sort locations in GTA Fandom. But use ONE AND BIGGEST category only, as I said above. Of course, you must put the name of your project in that category too. (Like [[Category: Neighborhoods in (your project name)]])
This is the hierarchy of each geographical concepts. Therefore, 'Neighborhoods' are smallest category.
- Category:Countries (not 'Nations')
- Category:States
- Category:Cities
- Category:Neighborhoods
2-2. Sorting the POIs (Point Of Interest)
Again, put the name of your project at the front of your POI articles first. After that, check the type of your POI and putting them into related categories. That's right, it's same with above in definition. You can check the types of POIs from the GTA Fandom's businesses list.
These are the examples of types of POIs. Click and check them if you want to see included articles and subcategories.
Another important thing is, do NOT spam with your project name and subcategories, like [[Category:Hospitals in (your project name)]]. Just putting them in one big category including same elements like [[Category:Hospitals]] or all of your works like [[Category: Businesses in (your project name)]] for clearing. You can divide them into further categories later.gory WITHOUT any titles(ex. "Neighborhoods in Liberty City" to "Neighborhoods"), so other people can find them easily and read. and, just follow the rules of Sorting locations rule of GTA Fandom.
