Bill was born a twin with his brother Scott on November 5th, 1980. His father was a mechanic and his mother worked at a restaurant.
During this time, Bill received above average grades in school and learned from his father about how to be a mechanic if he ever wanted to become one.
In 2007, Hathcock took the Bison Police exam. He was hired in 2008 and graduated from the Academy that summer.
In 2008, Bill was accepted the Bison Police Academy. He performed well and entered field training in the fall of that year.
Bill became a patrol officer after being hired by BPD, as every officer does at the beginning of their career.
A few years after becoming a Tactical Team officer, he took the Federal Investigation Bureau's Sniper Training Course. He became one of the team's snipers.
On-duty, Bill carries the Glock 22, chambered in .40 S&W.
During Tactical Team operations, Bill carries a fully automatic M4A1 carbine, chambered in 5.56 NATO. Still, he carries the Glock 22 as his sidearm. When providing sniper support, he uses a Remington Model 700 rifle.
Off-duty, he carries a Walther PPK chambered in .380 Auto or a Glock 26 chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum.
Bill is caring and friendly, usually humorous, but is serious when the situation calls for it. If he has any bad experiences, he'll usually joke about them later on.

Bill has a brother named Scott. The two are great friends. Bill is married to Sarah Johnson-Hathcock. They have a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Samantha.
He is friends with a fair amount of BPD officers.
Bill is 5'10", and has eyes that are "as blue as sapphires". He has dirty blond hair.
On patrol, Bill wears a standard BPD uniform. While performing Tactical Team duties, he wears tactical gear, a black or camouflage Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), a helmet, and a balaclava. While at home, he usually wears shirts and jeans.
